Chelsea Guitar, Bass, and Violin Lessons with
JENNA O'CONNOR & ERIC ROSS

TUITION:
• Tuition is due on a monthly basis. Please bring cash or a check to the first lesson of
each month.

BEFORE EVERY LESSON:
• Arrive 5 minutes prior to the lesson time so that the student can be mentally
prepared and have the necessary materials ready (get the violin out, rosin the bow,
and recap the week's practice goals).
• Silence cell phones prior to entering the studio.
• Be present for the lesson so that you know the week's practice goals and how to
achieve them at home. Take notes
or video recordings to help you practice with your child.
• For families with multiple children: it is the parent’s responsibility to decide who will
go first before entering the studio. This helps promote a positive lesson
environment.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:
• Be respectful and cooperative.
• Practice for a minimum of 5 days a week, completing all weekly practice goals.
• Listen to the Suzuki CD for 1 hour daily.
• Bring your instrument, practice goals sheet and Suzuki book to every lesson.
• Maintain short clipped fingernails and keep instruments tuned.

PARENT-TEACHER COMMUNICATION:
• Please respect the fact that teachers must start their next lessons on time. If you
have any questions or concerns, please address these at the beginning of the lesson
or contact the teacher via email or telephone.

ATTENDANCE - SCHEDULING, RESCHEDULING and CANCELLATIONS:
• Students who enroll commit to attending weekly lessons (same day and time each
week). Repeated absences will result in dismissal.
• Students are allowed a maximum of 1 make-up lesson per semester (tuition will not
be reduced for missed lessons).
• In the event that the teacher has to reschedule, a lesson will be offered at a time
convenient for you (rescheduled lessons cannot replace a lesson in the following
month).
• There are NO refunds for "no shows”.
• NOTE: 60-Day Notice required for withdrawal mid-term.

TARDINESS:
• If you are going to be late, please call to let me know. Leave a voicemail or text
message if you cannot get through. If this happens, remember that a shorter lesson
is better than skipping a week.

HOLIDAYS & SNOWDAYS:
• Please check the studio calendar. If the Sun Prairie School district is CANCELLED or
calls an EARLY RELEASE, then all music lessons will be canceled. As is common
practice, cancellations due to weather or other circumstances beyond Sun Prairie
Suzuki Violin Lessons’ control are to made-up or given credit.

PHOTOGRAPHY:
• Photos taken during recitals, group classes, or other events may be used for
promotional purposes. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is
there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. If
you don't want your child's photograph to be used, please contact your teacher to
let them know.
